Magazine covering Scandinavian residents in Southeast Asia. The magazine is distributed free of charge in the entire region to all Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish companies on their business address and individuals and their families on their home address.

 

Nordic Centre – Fudan University

The Nordic Centre in Shanghai is a joint-venture between Fudan University, The Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS) and 27 universitites from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. It is a meeting place for Nordic and Chinese scholars and students.

The Main task include acting as

  • A platform for initiating and developing research and educational programmes, activities, conferences and workshops for mutual interst to Nordic and Chinese scholars.
  • A teaching institution for Chinese students and scholars to pursue study of the Nordic countries and for Nordic studens and scholars pursuing study of China.
  • An organiser of programmes and courses for Nordic business communities in Shanghai.

 

Danish On-line Learning

Living in China and you want  your child to learn Danish? Now there is a new on-line tool available for Danes living outside Denmark, where your child can learn Danish on-line at weekly sessions.

Den Danske Skole i Shanghai – The Danish School in Shanghai

The Danish School in Shanghai and Suzhou offers Danish language taught once a week in small groups. The school covers teaching from Kindergarten and up to IB-level. Materials used are approved by the Ministry of Education in Denmark. The students are tested halfway and once during the year an evaluation is done by teachers in Denmark. In the summer of 2015 there is a plan to conduct “Folkeskolens 9. klasses Afgangseksamen” in Shanghai.

  • The Autumn program is as follows:
    Minhang: Kindergarten- 9. Grade (at the BISS School) – Wednesday 3.30-5.15pm (two classes) – Children from 5 years and up. Contact: jeanettaamodt@hotmail.com
