Shanghai Vikings

The Shanghai Vikings has been playing in the “Shanghai International Football League” since 1995. A well organized league – with now 20 teams split in 2 divisions. We play FIFA rules, 11 aside on good grass turf pitches just outside Shanghai. The Shanghai Vikings has always been a very joyful crowd, not always the winning team (we have yet to win the league) – but still has managed to perform fairly well in both the local and other tournaments. The Shanghai Vikings has won the famous Viking Cup both in 2006 and 2008.

With a distinct Danish heritage The Shanghai Vikings are famous for their Viking Helmets and creates a healthy network on-as well as off the pitch. Non Danes are welcome as well. They practice every Wednesday 7-aside on astro turf, and play most Saturdays 11 aside on grass.
They are sponsored by Big Bamboo, which they have turned into their club house. Furthermore Carlsberg have generously contributed in many ways to support their existence.

DCCC – Young Professionals

DCCC Young Professionals is a sub-division of DCCC Shanghai and we host social and professional events in Shanghai for young professionals with an interest in Denmark and Danish – Chinese relations. We aim to inspire, create awareness and possibilities for both individual and companies.

The Danish Management Society – VL Group 71

The Danish Management Society (abbreviated “VL” from its Danish name) is Denmarks largest and leading-edge network for corporate managers and executives.

The society is a professional network composed of so-called ‘VL-Groups’. Each group has about 30 members. Today the network consists of 117 VL groups, 19 of which are based abroad – one of these VL Gruppe 71 in Shanghai.

The members include top executives and other top-tier professionals from all corners of the corporate world, having seats on executive boards, supervisory boards or holding other high-echelon positions or serving in key functions.

Membership: only by refferal from existing members or by invitation
