Chairman’s Corner – Poul G. Kristensen

Dear Members and Friends of DCCC,

November was a very important month for DCCC as it was in this month that we organized the biggest Danish business event in China, the Business Person of the Year Gala Ball.

The Business Person of the Year Gala Ball was held at the Wanda Reign on the Bund with an amazing ballroom and the view of the Huangpu River. We had many guests from young professionals, entrepreneurs, MNCs, to dignitaries such as the Danish Ambassador to China Anders Carsten Damsgaard and Nicolai Prytz, the Consul General at the Danish Consulate.

The BPOY was a huge success but we know there is always room for improvement. We will make it our mission to give the Danish community an even better BPOY in 2018.

On the 22^nd of November we concluded the Team Management training. The program was joined by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Finnish Business Council Shanghai (FBCS). I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the 26 graduates and thank them and the trainers as well for supporting this program.

As the yuletide season is soon here, we are having our annual Danish Christmas Party at Henkes on the 9^th of December. We will be having a buffet of traditional Danish Christmas food, all you can drink snaps and beer (till supply lasts). And of course, the party would not be a party without our usual lucky draw and dancing.

I would like to remind everybody about the upcoming Emerging Leader training program which will begin in January 2018. Please register your colleagues soon as we have limited seats for this program.
