Vice Chairwoman’s Corner

July 7th, 2021

Dear DCCC Members,

The summer is full on in Shanghai, and while some members are now enjoying the cooler Danish climate, many of us are staying in Shanghai.

In June, DCCC East hosted and co-hosted 10 events. Now we are crossing our fingers, that July’s most important event will be the Euro Cup final on Saturday.

In the end of July, we are introducing a new concept, namely “Sharp Minds” events. These will be events not to miss, so save the date 29 July, where we have Jacob Johansen talk on his new book release on cracking the most significant challenge in business.

Since the DCCC office is as busy as ever, we are super happy that Weiyu has joined the secretariat as office assistant. Weiyu has previously studied and worked in Copenhagen for 5 years, and has an educational background in finance, and experience in the Danish craft beer industry. A very big welcome to Weiyu, who so far is doing an excellent job!

Also, a very warm welcome to our newest members: CHIC Investments and Global Executive Business Association.

Warm wishes for a continued great summer from the DCCC East team.

Ann Sophie de Meester
Vice Chairwoman, DCCC East

In December 2020, Danes Worldwide provided formal input to the legislative hearing on the matter: danes.dk (in Danish).

Danes Worldwide Secretary General Anne Marie Dalgaard comments: ”We are extremely pleased that our work yielded results in that the politicians became aware of the needs of expat Danes. It is a positive development that our fellow Danes living abroad may finally call themselves Danish citizens again. We had hoped that there would be no new deadline, but overall we are happy with the outcome.”
