Chairman’s Corner – Emil Hauch Jensen
Dear Members and Friends of the Chamber!
Summer is upon us, and in a few weeks DCCC will be gearing down for the summer holiday, but until then we still have many offers on the menu, here I would like to mention just three of them.
Firstly, we have taken a long hard look at two old classics, the HR Working Group and the Tax & Law Working Group. Both groups have recently gotten new leadership, and with it we are raising the ambitions of what we hope to achieve. We are aiming to create even more member-to-member interaction and let the groups become a uniquely valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for the relevant staff within our member companies. We know that when it comes to HR and Finance a lot of our members are facing similar challenges. Within these working groups, where meetings are for members only, the participants will gain free access to regulatory updates and key advice from some of the smartest service providers in the business followed by discussion between members on how to deal with many practical daily challenges of running a business in China. We will shortly be contacting each of our corporate members with the opportunity to send key staff to be members of either of these two Working Groups.
Secondly we have a very special event on June 23rd with the Royal Danish Ballet. DCCC has arranged for discounted tickets and an exclusive presentation by the Artistic Director Nikolaj Hübbe. This is a good opportunity to invite your Chinese friends and business partners to share a wonderful and unforgettable evening.
Lastly I would like to mention that preparations are well under way for our Business Person of the Year Gala Ball to be held on October 22nd. This will be the 10th time we celebrate the best achievements within our community and we are taking this anniversary as an excuse to make this party even bigger and even better than anything we have done so far! Do look forward to this amazing party! As always we are relying on the generosity of our sponsor to make the event possible and we will soon be contacting you with information about how you can play a role in supporting this our main event of the year.
Best wishes for the summer,
Emil Hauch Jensen
