Chairman’s Corner – Poul G. Kristensen

Dear Members and Friends of DCCC,

Now we are back and running different activities and events again.

During September we started the TM Training with “Coaching for Performance”and had different shared events. The most attended one was “How will the individual Income tax reform affect you?” presented by Paul Dwyer and James Zheng from Dezan Shira & Associates, having 75 participants. There are still many open questions about how these regulations will develop and be implemented, so probably we will follow up on it later with a similar event.

Furthermore we hold the DCCC Danish Friday at Hooked and got more than 50 participants joining the event.

As agreed and mentioned during our AGM in March, we keep working towards a solution to allow DCCC Shanghai follow all the new regulations from the Chinese Government. We will keep you informed about the development.

We have already sold almost 50% of the tickets for BPOY, which is very good and promising; specially because this time we can only have 200 participants. So if you didn’t buy your tickets yet, hurry up before they get sold out.

Remember to follow our activities in our homepage as well through WeChat. You can also follow DCCC Beijing & DCC-SC, and if you decide to participate at theirs events, you will just pay the normal member fee.

We have still place for some sponsors for the BPOY, so we will be very happy to hear from you also.

Remember to reserve the below dates:

BPOY 03/11/2018

X-mas Party 08/12/2018

We welcome our new members: Mille Foods, Cecilie Alkjaersig Knudsen and Jakob Skovdal

Sincerely Yours,

Poul G. Kristensen

Danes Worldwide Corner

Task Force on Danes Living Outside Denmark

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Copenhagen Capacity, and Danes Worldwide have set up a joint task force to explore the potential for Denmark to enhance its relationships with expats and thus leverage their international networks.

Flemming Besenbacher, Chair of the Board of Directors of Carlsberg and the Carlsberg Foundation, chairs the task force consisting of 18 prominent industry leaders with an interest in the benefits to be gained from a relationship between Denmark and its expats.

Secretary General Anne Marie Dalgaard expresses her satisfaction that Danes Worldwide is a participant in the task force:  “As an advocacy organization promoting the interests of Danes living abroad and as a collaboration partner in the initiative, Danes Worldwide is particularly interested in the immense value expats offer to Denmark. In that context, we are concerned about legislation affecting the engagement of Danes living abroad – as examples, their entitlement to unemployment insurance benefits should they return to Denmark, their entitlement to the public pension to which they have contributed, and their right of return to Denmark with an international  family.”
